Software Engineer

Job Objective

Ensure sufficient technical resources for research projects and the development of simulation environments for UAV models and UAV applications.

Develop and maintain essential C++ software modules to ensure seamless connectivity and interaction between the virtual simulation environment and external flight control software and hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize C++ software modules to integrate the simulation environment (Unreal Engine/AirSim) with control hardware (joysticks, real UAV controllers).

• Build and maintain APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) or middleware in C++ for communication with external flight control software such as Mission Planner or QGround Control.

• Program signal processing and conversion between the virtual environment and physical devices to ensure realistic feedback and low latency.

Job Requirements

1. Education:

   • Bachelor’s degree or higher in 3D Design, Simulation, Engineering, Information Technology, or Software Development.

2. Experience:

   • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with C++ programming.

   • Experience in systems programming, network programming (TCP/IP, UDP), and serial communication.

   • Knowledge of UAV communication protocols (e.g., MAVLink) is a strong advantage.

   • Preference for candidates with experience working with Unreal Engine (C++, API integration).

   • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.

   • Embedded programming or microcontroller experience is a plus.
