Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Data Lakehouse architecture on Azure using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Delta Lake, Azure Synapse, or Databricks. 

  • Develop data processing pipelines (ETL/ELT) from various sources (on-premise, cloud, streaming, APIs, files, etc.). 

  • Collaborate with AI, BI, and DevOps teams to integrate data into analytics applications, machine learning models, or intelligent reporting systems. 

  • Optimize the performance of large-scale data storage and query systems (big data), ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability. 

  • Implement data quality checks, metadata management, and data lineage processes. 

  • Work with infrastructure teams to operate secure data systems, adhering to security protocols and internal regulations. 

  • Write technical documentation and support knowledge transfer and operations for product and analytics teams. 

Job Requirements

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent role. 

  • Experience in implementing data infrastructure on Azure Cloud, with preference for proficiency in:

  1. Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
  2. Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks 
  3. Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, or Apache Kafka 

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, or PySpark, with a strong understanding of distributed computing. 

  • Experience with data models such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Lakehouse Architecture, or Delta Lake. 

  • Preference for candidates with experience in large-scale data systems, real-time pipelines, or AI/ML model integration. 

Soft Skills 

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and with a systematic mindset. 

  • Strong collaboration skills with other technical teams (AI, DevOps, Product). 

  • Logical thinking, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
